The Hack Track (1.5h) - ride the diverse landscape
through farmland, bush, wetland and forest to the beach. This is a one and a half hour return trip. We are helping this area revegetate as it is home to many birds but also many predators. There is a trapping programme to catch the stoats, rats, wild cats and possums. Soon we hope to see the little Blue Penguins which are down on the beach, coming further inland and using our nesting boxes.
Patons Rock Beach (2.5h+) - ride-play-explore with the horses
A good walk out, trot or canter along the perfect footing at this great beach will give you an idea of Golden Bay beaches. We can do what you can on this beach; dressage practise, jumping over driftwood or sitting on your horse enjoying the day.
2.5 h or more hours of beach fun.
Rangihaeata Headland Ride (4h) is a beach - headland- eastuary- esplanade - reserve ride. Wow- It will take you 4 hours and is a stunner regarding changing landscape, nature and great beaches. We cross the Onahau River and come along Maori heritages. Stories to tell and memories to collect.
